Meg O’Connell

Meg O’Connell is an International Emmy award-winning and nominated producer. She’s the company director at Unless Pictures where she co-created, wrote and produced RETROGRADE for ABC TV. Meg was the development manager on the Logie and International Emmy award winning Ludo Studio series BLUEY. During her time at Ludo, Meg produced the International Emmy award-winning DOODLES for ABC ME, the AACTA award-winning Robbie Hood for SBS On Demand, and Content for ABC iview. Content won a Rose d’Or and was recently nominated for an International Emmy. Meg sits on the Screen Australia Gender Matters Taskforce.
Unless Pictures is currently developing a slate of original work, supported by Screen Queensland Enterprise funding, and in 2021 will executive produce eight short films with filmmakers from diverse backgrounds.

Founder of Brisbane based film & TV production shingle The Steve Jaggi Company. Recent credits include YA series DIVE CLUB, a Netflix Original with Network 10; romcom THIS LITTLE LOVE OF MINE which has been acquired by Netflix for world; ROMANCE ON THE MENU which was acquired by Netflix in ANZ and screened on Hallmark in the US to 2.14m Americans earlier this year; the thriller KIDNAPPED which opened theatrically in Australia and was acquired by Lifetime in the US where it was viewed by over 600,000 households on its January 2nd premiere; teen films SWIMMING FOR GOLD (Universal / Hulu); BACK OF THE NET (Netflix / Disney Channel); and RIP TIDE (Netflix).

Melinda Wearne

Melinda Wearne Is the Drama Development & Production Exec at Beyond Entertainment. She has produced several of Beyond’s most successful kids and family entertainment series including multiple Emmy Award winning kids animation series BEAT BUGS for Netflix, MOTOWN MAGIC produced for Netflix, and Hoopla Doopla a co-production between ABC and CCTV in China.
She currently manages Beyond’s scripted drama development slate.

Tracey Vieira

Tracey is the Chief Content Officer for Emmy® and BAFTA Award winning film and television production company Hoodlum.
Tracey joined Hoodlum in September 2019 after five years as CEO of Screen Queensland.
Hoodlum is currently working with ABC Australia and Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment to produce SHAKESPEARE NOW, a ten-part series updating the work of Shakespeare using all-female writers and directors. Also announced is feature film NO FRIEND BUT THE MOUNTAIN based on the multi award-winning book from Kurdish-Iranian journalist Behrouz Boochani who chronicled his harrowing experiences in the tome No Friend But The Mountains: Writing from Manus Prison.
Since joining Hoodlum, Tracey has worked on expanding Hoodlum’s global slate across scripted and unscripted television and feature film with productions currently in development with partners including ABC Signature, Fox, Peacock, Netflix, CBS International and A&E amongst others.

Monica O’Brien

Monica is an experience Executive Producer and Showrunner across many genres, including Factual, Drama and Children’s Entertainment.
Over the past 10 years Monica has worked with Ambience Entertainment in production and development across a broad slate of programming resulting in the production of over 4500 hours of Family Entertainment. These productions have been broadcast on ABC, Seven Network, Nine Network, Network TEN along with International Networks. Prior to joining Ambience, Monica worked in both the commercial and government sectors. Including Spinifex Interactive, as Producer/Director, Screentime as Producer, Emerald Films as Producer and Film Finance Corporation as Recoupment Analyst.

Stephen Luby

Stephen Luby has been one of the most prolific producers in Australia and most recently produced the critical and ratings success, THE SECRET RIVER.
He has also produced a string of high-end drama series, including, BED OF ROSES, THE MURRAY WHELAN SERIES and WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THAT GUY.
He has been behind many of Australia’s most loved comedy films and television series. Feature films include THE EXTRA, THE CRAIC, CRACKERJACK(Produced with Mick Molloy) and BAD EGGS (Produced with Tony Martin and Greg Sitch) all of which have gained critical and commercial success. 
Stephen then oversaw a whole slate of film and television projects as General Manager of Production for Artist Services.

Lisa Shaunessy

Lisa produced Sundance hit KILLING GROUND (alongside Joe Weatherstone), that premiered in the Midnight Section 2017. Lisa co-produced John Winter’s; BLACK & WHITE & SEX (Sydney Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam 2013) and was producer of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) award-winning series, HIPSTERS (SBS, 2015). Lisa produced THE FURIES, the first feature to be produced from Canberra’s Accelerator Development Pod (to be released 2019 by Odin’s Eye Entertainment and Studio Canal) and her next film 2067, a climate change sci-fi mystery thriller, starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Ryan Kwanten is currently in post-production and will open on 10,000+ screens in China in 2020. Formerly a producer at Russell Crowe’s South Sydney Media, she was an executive on Crowe’s directorial debut, THE WATER DEVINER and Australian Sports Commission award-winning producer of documentary SLAMMIN SAM: THE SAM BURGESS STORY. Prior to SSM, Lisa headed up fellow Aussie, Hugh Jackmans’ Seed Productions, working on the development and production of Jackman starrers, Deception; X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE and the 3 x 6-part documentary series’, AN AUSSIE GOES CALYPSO for Australia’s cable network, Foxtel. Lisa is a graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School and a TAP alumni.

Rachael Turk

Rachael Turk is an AWGIE Award winning writer/creator and one of Australia’s most experienced development producers.
She worked in-house for Ian Collie’s boutique film and television company Easy Tiger under the Fremantle International banner 2017-2020 – and at Essential Drama before that 2012-2017 – where she co-created the AACTA-, ADG- and AWG-award winning SBS series SUNSHINE (2017), which was picked up by the US streamer Topic and nominated at the Monte Carlo TV Awards; and the SBS show THE PRINCIPAL (2015) which screened at Mannheim-Heidelberg Filmfestival (Germany) and France’s Séries Mania. Other credits as Development Producer at Easy Tiger include three series of JACK IRISH.
Prior to Essential, she worked at Endemol Southern Star with John Edwards, Claudia Karvan, Jacquelin Perske and Mimi Butler on shows such as PUBERTY BLUES and SPIRITED 3, HOWZAT! KERRY PACKER’S WAR, PAPER GIANTS: THE BIRTH OF CLEO and its sequel MAGAZINE WARS.

Sophie Tilson

Sophie Tilson has over fourteen years of experience working in various aspects of film and television, from development, producing, and screenwriting to worldwide sales and acquisitions. Before heading up Development for The Steve Jaggi Company, Sophie held the title of Senior Vice President of Cardinal XD (a film and television sales and acquisitions company) for over four years. Before that, Sophie worked at Cartel Entertainment, beginning as a Production Assistant before being promoted to Creative Executive/Associate Producer. During that time, Sophie associate produced DANGEROUS COMPANY, which sold to Lifetime, and Jeff 1000. Sophie has written numerous produced screenplays, which have aired on channels and platforms such as Lifetime and Netflix. Sophie has written digital series for Comedy Central and Disney-ABC. Sophie wrote and produced Streamy award-winning digital series, OZGIRL. Sophie’s passion for great storytelling, coupled with her extensive knowledge in creating commercially viable projects, makes her an exceptional Development Executive.
